Still take issue with Dean being "empty." or "dead inside" The PTSD lowkey horror that he needs to vent about to Sam is not an empty person.

What's with the soap opera shot framing. [character walks into camera stands with back to other character and deliver angst lines. angstily.]
Sam's "naturally" sounds like he was channeling Lou Costello.
Dean humoring Cas.
Cas taking Dean's food for once. <3
OKAY.
Why is it the "lower" form of angel can "manifest themselves" aka not need a vessel, it sounds like? (I mean since he appeared nude and everything like why would they bother with clothes if they can make and unmake a body at will.) And yet the seraphs need to go all possessy like a demon? Make sense Lore.

The restaurant scene is oof. I do like how they imagine the horsemen though.
Though the way he keeps yelling "Hungry" makes me think of The Wire from Doctor Who.

And why didn't the reaper come for the doctor?

Is Dean well fed because he's getting his Cas fix? Just Sayin.'

Gives Cas 12 seconds. "This is taking to long." Cas fix ahoy.
Also wonder if Dean's hunger is too nebulous to destructive. He wants his brother safe. Well he left him behind all locked up and cozy. He wants to stop horseman? Well he's working on exactly that. If hunger is deprivation, Dean is hardly being deprived of what he wants at that moment.
And then how this ep ends.
Dean praying and crying doesn't scream "dead inside." It was cool from some Dean whump / plot device but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny much.
Still, great ep if extremely gory.
