Doctor Who REWATCH - Fourth Doctor - The Seeds of Doom

Sarah and Four continue to be a winning combo. Did not remember this one. It's definitely one of the good eps. It has a very slow start thought. Four very stressed out for the most part and goes full action hero.

I did some liveblogging:

Part 1) I know what we'll do: let's arrange an armed robbery in the antarctic. It's so easy to get there and all. Make sure to have the escape helicopter ready. Ummm...

Four is very stressed out in this story.


Part 2) This heist is a bit tedious

Part 3) Four KO'd by explosion. Well at least he had two whole parts without losing consciousness.

Part 4) Wow. Threaten Sarah with a pod and Four goes all action hero jumping through glass.

"What do you do for an encore, Doctor?"

"I win."

Oh, good answer. Very Dark Doctor.


Part 5) So Four went into the garbage can.. And tied to composter. That's a really large composter. I guess they use a lot of compost. Sarah chocked by attack plants. Alien plants are jerks.

Part 6) They must have spent a lot of money on that composter prop.

Hey! Great to see you back here! :)

I saw the notification of your post on LJ, saying that you'd posted for the first time in a while, and I saw "Brain of Morbius" in the title. Then I went to my feed and started reading this post, and I was thinking, "Antarctica? Four went to Antarctica twice? How odd they repeated that... Plants, too. This sounds more like Seeds of Doom. OH." Duh.

SoD really left a lasting impression on me (as opposed to BoM, which I don't remember at all). I love your lists of knockouts and companion trauma.

Ha! I fooled you by posting two entries in one day, lol. Seeds of Doom is definitely one the greats of Old!Skool Who. (In spite of the slow start ;) )

My stats started as I noticed how often everyone was knocked unconscious (and it helps keep me invested in the more meh stories), but it's proved to be interesting when you keep track and compare amongst the entire series.
