Ever witness a pissing match between Livejournal and dreamwidth in the form of dueling HTML code?   Well I just did and let me tell you, it's not pretty.

What did it do? I've never had it go berserk on me. It's always been pretty smooth.

I finally got around to importing all my old LJ comms to dreamwidth. All went well until I decided to make a dreamwidth version of a link list of Doctor Who communities.

My mistake was copy-pasting the old post in order to get all the headers AND THEN be lazy and try to edit the thing in rich text. A ton of LJ username link code got left behind when I deleted the old links and then it fought and combined with Dreamwidth user name codes in wild and wacky ways. Everything I did to fix it made it worse. Finally one comm name ended up being duplicated beside every other comm on the list. Bonkers.

I had to break down and copy all the code into note pad and redo it by hand. Big fun.
