Now , when I say I have writer's block, I don't mean garden variety writer's block. I mean decades-long, confidence-issues-bordering-on- the-pathetic, writer's block. In fact, my whole venture into fanfic is an attempt to correct this. So, when I say I'm totally jazzed on the results of some random googling, that is saying something.
First up: The random prompt generator. This is guaranteed to give you your crack!fic fix. I've already got two stories in the works. Huzzah!
Next, we have this site . It has several varieties of prompts. The random generators don't work as well as the first one, but they are very amusing at times.
Then, from another site comes the Cool Bits and Random Art prompt generators. I found the art prompt one set on simple still worked for story prompts. From the cool bits one comes this gem:
And finally, for the traditionalists, this blog entitled Three Word Wednesday , you guessed it, posts three words every Wednesday.
So, opinions? Good/bad/indifferent? If there is interest, I'll post any other oddities I happen across.

It begins with a damaged warrior in Venice. This person meets a woman who knows her own worth and together they encounter sacred incense and panthers. The story winds up in Heian Japan and features the seduction of snow. The overall narrative contains Gothic novel aesthetics.Anyone who can write a story involving the "seduction of snow" deserves a prize in my book.
